纪南新城作为荆州古城未来城市发展的重心，湖北省第二届园林博览会在此举办，其近100平方公里精致的生态文明和绚烂的历史文化是城市发展的最好礼物。基于本次设计的地区特性，我们努力改变将“生态”看做“发展”牺牲品的传统认知。我们认为“生态”可以作为促进“发展”的有力增长工具。所以我们将未来的纪南地区看做一个系统，一个城市生态系统，试图以生态作为引导，从社会、经济、文化、规划设计和技术等各个方面，来创造一个和谐、高效、绿色的、城市时代的人类栖居环境。

As the center of future urban development of jingzhou ancient city, the second garden expo of hubei province is held here. Its exquisite ecological civilization and gorgeous historical culture covering nearly 100 square kilometers are the best gifts for urban development. Based on the regional characteristics of this design, we strive to change the traditional perception of "ecology" as a victim of "development". We believe that ecology can be a powerful growth tool for development.
