楚都大道两侧景观带位于道路两侧，各宽 20 米。大道南北向由 308 国道起至沪汉蓉高速铁路。大道两侧用地以住宅用地，商业用地及绿地为主。楚都大道纵贯南北，与多条城市主干道交错，与东侧的荆沙铁路几乎并行，依据城市规划将把整段分成三大区段，赋予各段主题来表现各段特色局部区域结合特色文化小品，预留二次提升区域，以便于配合周边城市发展的景观二次提升。
Chu road across the north and south, and multiple urban main road crisscross, and on the east side of jing railway almost parallel, on the basis of urban planning will make the whole passage into three major sections, giving paragraphs theme to express the paragraphs characteristic local area combined with the characteristic culture, reserve a second ascending area, in order to cooperate with the surrounding landscape secondary to promote urban development.
